RE: Certain 2009 and 2010 Pontiac Vibes
Subject: Product recall number 10018: Accelerator pedal sticking.

Certain 2009 and 2010 Pontiac Vibes vehicles in your auction inventory are subject to product recall, number 10018: Accelerator pedal sticking.

As you are aware, these vehicles are on a "no sale" hold for all customers until the repairs are completed by an authorized GM dealer. Over the last several days, General Motors has begun shipping the required replacement parts along with the dealer recall bulletin (10018) to Buick, Pontiac and GMC dealers throughout the country. These dealers have started to complete the required repairs on these vehicles.

In an effort to expedite the repairs on the vehicles that you have on hold in your inventory, please contact your local GM dealer's service manager to coordinate the required repairs. Any GM Dealer may perform this recall. If you have a sufficient volume of these vehicles in inventory at your auction, you may be able to arrange with the service manager to send a technician to your auction site to complete the repairs on your property. This would require you provide the technician appropriate facilities to operate in and to sequester the vehicles into a single location to facilitate the repair process.

To expedite the repair process, should a Dealer not be aware of the recall, please reference the following documents:

Once the repairs are complete, the vehicles can be offered for sale at the auction. We would suggest that the vehicle announcements provided during the sale include the fact that the repairs are complete.
